Dry and Wet

"People learn through many ways, all towards the same final end."

It has been 3 whole months since my last post, and I'm quite disappointed. I've been busy with managing my head and university life that I had almost neglected writing which I love doing most. However, I haven't been away without any developments within myself...so I guess it is forgivable that I've been away for so long.

This month is the season of learning. For some particular reason, my senses and instincts as a teacher were enhanced dramatically this past few weeks. I felt like I wanted to teach already! However, I still have a lot to learn. And I don't want my university life to end so quickly just yet.

  1. Islamic Worldview
  2. Instructional Technology
  3. Linguistics
  4. Educational Psychology
  5. Grammatical Analysis
  6. ELT Methodology
  7. Tools for Thinking
These are the mixtures of the 'dry and wet' subjects I'm taking this semester. I hope I can keep up with my studies while I try my best to write. And I hope I don't blabber on with a 'diary-style' posting later on. Well then, take care readers! Do your best in your own learning and always believe that God is there to help us. Until next time, beware of flu! ^^

Mathematics Presto!

Ah, the magic of maths. I was eating sahur one day and 'Numb3rs' was playing on AXN. The idea of using maths to solve crimes is quite cool. No complex machines like in the CSI are in use, just a blackboard and a few chalks would do the trick. Every time I watch the series, I'm always fascinated by mathematics. But then again, why do I always try to run away from this subject?

I know. Math is used everyday, in any occasion. My mum once dared me to name an activity not involving numbers, resulting in me unable to find it. Time, money, weight, height; all of this things are related to maths and to our everyday doings. Put solving crimes aside, I think that's the real magic in maths. It's everywhere, everytime! How cool can a subject be?

From the kitchen to the sports field, there's maths involved at any place. No wonder I couldn't get away from it no matter how hard I try. Well, time to accept the fact and move on Try and enjoy maths, and enjoy life!

[UPDATES]
There's maths in writing too! From the number of words to the length of paragraphs, it's inevitable even in pursuing my dreams. Haha, not that I'm complaining. Here's an update for the day, maybe I'll add in a few titles by tomorrow. Look out! (link next to title)

A tribute today to those magical moments of learning! Without learning, we won't become what we are today. There were times of boredom, and there were times of excitement and adventures. Congratulations for making it thus far, and the journey of learning goes on. A speacial tribute to those sessions where it made me realise my passion to write. Thank you!

It's Tastier When...

Still on the issue of food, I want to voice out what I think is the most important in making food taste better. It's not the ingredients, and it's not the surrounding. Food are much tastier when eaten together! That's right, it feels so good eating something with a company. Whether you're out for dinner, or indulging some sweet ice-cream...the taste and appetite really comes out when you're eating them with your family or friends. I'm not saying something totally random here. I've come to realise that I can't finish my favourite Chachos whenever I eat alone. I know I can just finish a bag of those chips by myself, but I can never bring myself to do it. It really is 'tasteless' when I'm not sharing it with someone.

Aha, I guess I'm being emotional over this 'eating together' issue since I just remembered how I made friends with new people upon entering MRSM for the first time by just having a meal together. During my early stay in the boarding school, I always end up eating by myself at a far corner of the dining hall. Food tasted bleak, and I always had no appetite. One day, someone suddenly came and had lunch together with me. At that time, we became friends and food had been better than ever. And that guy, he became one of my best friend soon after. Well, that's another story to tell then.

Eat well, eat plenty, and eat together! Want some unfinished chips? Hehe, enjoy your days readers. No new updates for today, take care!!!

A tribute today to all Malaysia's television dramas and movies! You have sparked some sense of imagination within my writer's mind, in a more Malaysian way. I've always been too interested with Western and Japanese stories, so thank you for making me realise that Malaysian stories are also unique in its own simple manner. A speacial tribute to dramas/movies having Eja as their actress. I'm a big fan of her since primary school! (haven't watched 'Sepi' yet, so sad...)

On the way back home from Klang today, the radio was playing Scorpion's 'Winds of Change'. I listened intently, and pondered for a moment out the wet road. As you grow up, it's harder to change your habit espeacially those 'bad' habits. Thus today, I decided to remind all readers and myself to change these 'bad' habits still residing within our hearts. Everyday is a day for a change. Wheteher the winds of change are raging or calm, always remember that we're still humans! Is the price of oil going down? Now that's a change I think everybody hopes for!

Your say in Independence!

In line with Malaysia's 51st-year of independence, let us all Malaysians shout "Merdeka, Merdeka!" in our hearts aloud! Let me remind you not to just say the chant without really understanding what independence means, now and then. Along the lifeline of myself, I've enjoyed Independence Day in numerous ways. The most exciting was probably during Form 3, where the students at my school had to paint the national flag on pieces of cloth. The class with the longest flag wins. What was interesting was how some of the students from different classes were very clever to make some sort of alliance among themselves, combining their cloth with the others. In the end, all classes began to combine. That day we produced a REALLY long flag, hand in hand, making us all winners! That's why until today, I believe unity is the core of any type of independence. (*wink*) This year's Independence Day, I'd like to dedicate my best regards to the young people of the nation! My cousin here, Siti Syafiqah, is a really sweet and intelligent little girl. With proper attention and teachings, many children like her would continue to make our country's independence strive and preserve its true meanings forever! ----> (What's your say in independence? Come, write about your thoughts in the commentary collumn. Speech, thoughts, dedications...anything related to Malaysia's Independence Day is welcome! No new updates this time, and Happy Independence Day!)

[TRIBUTE]
This tribute is dedicated to everyone who did their best to achieve and preserve the nation's independence! The spirits will burn on. A speacial tribute to Malaysians today, keep up the good work and achieve for the best. Good luck everyone!

Perhaps I'll go faster..?

Meet Togepi, one of the cutest Pokemon! The gittering eyes, the naivity of its movements...I just feel like hugging it, if it was real. It's good to once in a while imagine unrealistic things to lift the mind off of stresses and pressures. Perhaps you want the power to fly, maybe you want to possess the economics of the world, or you just want to confess to the person you like! Having dreams of your own really puts a 'kick' in your life; spicing it up here, sweetening it a bit there. But don't get too caught up in your own imagination. Sometimes, it really hurts when reality starts to bite back. Hey, if that dream of yours is achievable...work hard towards it. There's always a twist in every aspect of life.

[UPDATES]

Well, that's fast for a new update. I thought I could only manage once a week, but my spirit is pretty high these couple of days. There's a new segment in my fictions, so check it out (using the links below) and enjoyy readers!!

[BLABBERS]

I've been in the mood of collecting interesting pictures lately (like I did once in the past) but everytime I went to the search engine, I don't know what to search for! Hoping that someone can provide me with some good links, and I thank you in advance. Oh, and I'm going to have salami for the first time tomorrow. Pray that I experience a great taste of flavour and texture. Damn I sound like a chef! Hehe..until next time. Congratulations to Chong Wei for acquiring the title of Dato'!
